Therapy Services
Creating the blueprint for safety and stabilisation within a caring, professional therapeutic relationship
One to One Psychotherapy
Therapy provides the essential space for you to connect with your needs and chart a course toward recovery, healing, contentment, and fulfilment. Psychotherapy centres on establishing a relationship with your therapist which serves as a foundation, offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and understanding; a safe space for you to delve into your internal world.
Walk and Talk Psychotherapy
Stepping outside allows nature to soothe, nurture, and support a holistic and embodied therapeutic path.
Scientifically proven to reduce anxiety and depression, this approach offers a unique and effective way to connect with oneself and the natural world.
EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
EMDR is a proven psychotherapy technique endorsed by the UK's National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) for treating trauma, especially Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This method is effective in addressing distressing experiences by mitigating the impact of memories that manifest as nightmares, overwhelming feelings, flashbacks, or panic.
Clinical Supervision
I offer clinical supervision to a diverse range of professionals, including therapists, supervisors, front-line workers, managers, teams, and organisations seeking reflective practice. The supervision can be conducted either one-on-one or in groups, and it's adaptable to face-to-face or online formats.
Clients’ Testimonials
-
"Kate is efficient with her note taking so she always knows what or who I am talking about. This made me feel heard and safe and validated."
Doing EMDR with Kate has helped me make lots of connections and observations about my childhood trauma and family relationships. She also helped me to think about my resources and how to self soothe. I feel less anxious and depressed and when triggered my emotions are much less intense.

"For possibly the first time, I have some things I can apply by myself and that help me truly manage my anxiety and fears."
Eighteen months ago, when I began seeing Kate I was really suffering quite a bit from anxiety both at home and work. As of now, I feel more calm, more able to live with and manage my anxiety and feelings of dread, much more positive, and really able to look forward. Life has more hope than it's had for a good while. I can't thank her enough. She's just great.

"Kate’s presence is warm and patient. Her words are incredibly validating and affirming, and from the start I found her approach respectful and encouraging."
Having regular supervision with Kate helped me feel calm and capable at work, in situations which were new and often stressful. The sessions supported me in my ability to manage change and provided regular space for me to reflect. Kate created a space in which I felt safe to honestly explore my feelings and experiences, and encouraged to go back into my work day with plans and practical solutions to move forward in a way I could feel proud of.
